Thank you for another wonderful school year!

It's hard to believe that this is our final PTA Press of the school year! Our PTA Executive Board has enjoyed getting to know so many new faces this year and seeing all of our PMES families at our many events. In an effort to continue our One Track Mind Fundraiser, we held our first PMES Penny War in April and it was a huge success! As a school, we raised $2,251.04 toward our ONE TRACK MIND fundraiser which gets us even closer to building the track. This was such a fun event for the students and we thank all of our PMES families and staff for getting behind it!

Top 3 Finisher Point Totals:

1st Grade: 9,625 points

5th Grade: 8,307 points

4th Grade : ,945 points

FUN FACTS FROM OUR COLLECTION:

•22,859 total pennies collected

•196.5 pounds of coins collected

•3rd Grade had the highest positive cumulative total for the week with $446 collected

•Friday's intake alone was $1,303.18!

•Our volunteers counted over 13,000 pennies on our final day of counting!

•We received many coins from exotic locales including the Bahamas, Ecuador, India, Singapore, Chuck E. Cheese, Fisher Price, Disney Princess, and American Girl.

This means that to date, we have raised $33,355 toward our goal of $55,000 to fund the track! We've got the end goal in sight and we're not backing down! Stay tuned as we continue to work toward our goals!

5th Grade End of Year Festivities

Attention 5th Grade Families! We are taking student lunch orders for the end of the year celebration on May 24th. Use the below Google Form to order your student's lunch (included in their SEF fee paid at the beginning of the year). If you would like to purchase a parent lunch, it can be purchased through our MemberHub store. Meals are $10 per meal and can be purchased until May 12th.

RISING KINDERGARTEN PARENTS-Get your kiddo pumped about their new adventure into elementary school with our WELCOME TO KINDERGARTEN YARD SIGNS and KINDERGARTEN T-SHIRTS!

YARD SIGNS: Two sizes available: 18x12 OR 24x18 Three different design options: Name Only, Name and Picture, or Generic Welcome.

Deadline to order is Friday, June 30. Installation included. Signs will be installed the week of July 24.

T-SHIRTS: Available in blue and pink. Sizes Youth XS, Small and Medium. Shirts can be sent home with current students, picked up at the front desk, or arrangements can be made with a PTA board member via email. Shirt quantities are limited.

📚YEARBOOK DISTRIBUTION📚

Our 2022-2023 yearbooks are here and ready to be distributed! Yearbook club students will receive their books during their last meeting on May 4. All other students are encouraged to pick up their yearbook during the PMES Art Show on May 10 from 5:30-7:00. Any books not picked up during Art Show will be sent home in book bags on Friday, May 12. We cannot be responsible for books sent home with students on May 12. The remaining books will be available for purchase starting at 8am on May 15 on MemberHub. These will only be sold via MemberHub on a first come, first served basis. Yearbooks will be $55 each.

KNOW A FAMILY WHO IS NEW TO PMES?

5th Grade Slide Show

Hello, 5th grade parents! We are compiling a 5th grade slideshow to be featured during the 5th grade celebration lunch being held at PMES on May 24th. We need your help gathering photos of our 5th graders through the years at PMES.

Please email your favorite PMES memories to pmesslideshow23@gmail.com.

We are looking for a few of your best pictures from school activities which feature 2 or more 5th graders in the picture. It would be helpful if you can include names of the kids in the photos as well. We are asking that each family submit no more than 5 per child. All pictures should be submitted by May 15th in order to allow us time to compile the slideshow.

STAFF APPRECIATION FUND-WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We are still in need of donations to our Staff Appreciation Fund. This fund provides our teachers and staff with special lunches and treats for Teacher Appreciation Week and End of the Year.
