Back to School Night
Parents and guardians will be joining us at Hopkinton High School on Thursday evening, September 21, for our annual Back-to-School Night. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to meet our teachers and learn more about the high school.
The Back-to-School Night program will begin promptly at 7:00 pm. Parents will report directly to their child’s first period class (on A day) as we have put together a welcome video that teachers will show in their classrooms to begin the evening. After the video, they will have a chance to meet all of their child’s teachers by attending each of their classes. This will begin at 7:10 pm and each class will run for ten minutes with five-minutes of passing time in between.
Here is a link to a blank Back to School Night schedule. Students can make a copy and fill in the details of their schedules to assist their parents/guardians. The schedule follows an “A” day for periods 1 through 5 and a “B” day for periods 6 & 7. Make sure to go over it with them before the event!
Please note that all Wellness classes will meet in the Athletic Center. Also, if a student has a study hall or a guidance seminar in their schedule, their parents/guardians are technically ‘off’ for that period. However, we encourage them to visit the Counseling Staff, HPTO, or HOP (Hopkinton Organizing for Prevention) tables outside of the library during that time. The school store will also be open so that they can stock up on Hiller gear and support the Boosters.
Study Hall Reminders
All students must sign in and stay in their assigned locations for study halls. This includes classrooms or the library.
If your teacher is absent and your class is sent to the cafeteria, you must sign in and stay in the cafeteria. You cannot go to the library unless you are assigned a study hall in the library or it's during lunch block.
Parking
Students must submit an application and payment for a parking pass in order to park on campus. Parking in lots without a sticker and parking in a lot other than the one you are assigned will result in a ticket and potentially include additional school consequences, such as Saturday Schools and loss of privileges.
If you have any questions related to parking, please reach out to Officer Santoro. For an application, please talk to Ms. Zeigler at the booth.
Bias Incident Reporting Form
In an effort to better support our students, Hopkinton High School's Administrators and the DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Team are offering anyone who has directly experienced or indirectly witnessed harassment in the school community to report the incident. This form should only be used for genuine reporting.
Every effort will be made to evaluate your report promptly, however, the manner in which it is addressed will depend upon the information provided.
If you are in immediate danger or need immediate support, please seek out a trusted adult or staff member, including counselors, teachers, and administrators.
The Form can be found by clicking the button below. There will be a link to the Bias Incident Reporting Form at the bottom of each future Student Memo.
Class of 2024
In order to use your senior privileges, you must have a parent/guardian sign the required form and pass it in. If you haven't done that yet, please pass that in ASAP at the booth with Ms. Zeigler. Copies can be found at the booth.
