Acción de Gracias, un momento en el que tradicionalmente nos tomamos el tiempo para dar gracias se acerca y escribimos este mensaje para expresar nuestra gratitud personal a todos. Como valoramos los antecedentes bilingües y biculturales de nuestros estudiantes, queremos agradecer a nuestros padres y tutores por su compromiso de garantizar el éxito mientras se asegura de que sus hijos vengan a la escuela de lenguaje dual Graves listos para aprender. Sus hijos vienen a la escuela con mente abierta, fuertes valores, respeto y aprecio por ser parte de nuestra escuela.
Gracias a nuestros profesionales de la escuela por el compromiso que hacen todos los días con nuestros estudiantes. The Thanksgiving holiday, a time when we traditionally take time to give thanks is approaching us and we write this message to express our personal gratitude to everyone. As we value our students’ bilingual and bicultural backgrounds, we want to thank our parents and guardians for their commitment to ensuring their success as you make sure your children come to Graves Dual Language School ready to learn. Your children come to school open-minded with strong values, respect, and appreciation for being part of our school.
Thank you to our school professionals for the commitment that you make every day to our students. You care about their success and have the best interests of all our students. On a daily basis we see dedicated and hard-working individuals going above and beyond in making sure that great things happen in our school. Even though this hasn’t been a “normal” school year, we want you to remember that you are making a difference in our students lives. We thank you for your dedication to educational and organizational excellence. We thank you for striving to meet every expectation that we’ve set for our school community. Thank you for your ongoing professionalism and cooperation as we try to normalize learning once again.
We wish all of you and your families a healthy, relaxing and a Happy Thanksgiving break!

Parent Teacher Conferences
Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences will be on Monday, November 22 from 1:00 PM-7:00 PM.
To keep everyone safe, parents have been given the option of a
video conference or a phone conference.
Teachers have reached out to set up appointments and are ready to speak with you regarding your child's academics.
If you have not spoken to your child's teacher to set up an appointment
please contact them as soon a possible.

Please remember that if your child has any of the following symptoms they should NOT attend school until you have spoken to the school nurse. If your child attends school with any of the following symptoms you will be called to pick up your child immediately.
· Fever (100.4 or higher)
· New onset of moderate to severe headache
· Shortness of breath
· New cough
· Sore throat
· Vomiting
· Diarrhea
· New loss of sense of taste or smell
· Fatigue from an unknown cause
· Muscle, or body aches from and unknown cause.
If a student has had contact with a Covid positive person, they must be kept home, and the building nurse notified.

REMOTE LEARNING FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE SENT HOME TO QUARANTINE
Students who are either sent home with Covid like symptoms and are awaiting results or have tested Positive should be given work to do via Seesaw while they are out.
Students should also join Mrs. Tode who will be our Remote Learning Teacher/Facilitor on Zoom. She will not be instructing students but will be available to help with assignments or answer any questions they have.
