Physical Education & Health Update
Greetings, Red Raider Families!
I hope this message finds you in excellent health during this unprecedented time of living through the COVID-19 Pandemic. Our Physical Education department is working hard to deliver tools for our students to stay physically active as we have transitioned to online learning. Students should be checking their school outlook email at the beginning of each week for new material from their Health and Physical Education teachers. We encourage students to reach out with questions as we are all learning how to navigate this new system together.
I would like to share some resources provided by “SHAPE America: Society of Health and Physical Educators” to help students and families be physically active during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The recommendation is to get at least 60 minutes of daily physical activity.

May is Career Connected Learning Month!
Every day at 3:30pm, starting May 4th, students can engage in 30-45 minute live sessions hosted via Zoom and live streamed on YouTube. Students will hear about Washington-based jobs that might align with their interests and goals, and engage in employer-created challenges. Information and recordings of previous discussions will be posted at CareerConnect@Home.
Each week there is a different theme and different companies that will be sharing information about their jobs and answering students’ questions. Here’s the breakdown of each week’s theme: (click here to read more….)
