Week of August 31st
At Home Learning/Aprendizaje en casa:
Thank you all for everything you have done to help support your child during the first weeks of at home learning! It is amazing to see all the students engaged in classroom zooms and completing classroom assignments! We are so proud of how quickly our students and families have embraced information being shared by teachers and sought out assistance when needed.
It is so important that students are part of learning opportunities daily. Attendance is being taken during remote learning. Call the school or reach out to your child’s teacher if something is going on that is preventing your student from being part of at home learning regularly.
Grading will occur during remote learning. It is important that your children turn in assignments digitally. If your child is receiving packets instead of online learning, please know you can turn in packets this year by dropping them off in the basket located on the porch at the front office anytime Monday - Friday from 8:00 - 4:30.
In the coming weeks, teachers will be conducting beginning of the year assessments to help guide instruction and differentiate to meet the specific needs of your child. Please do not help your child when these assessments are occurring. It is important that we know what your child knows, so we can properly meet their needs.
Please know that teachers and staff are here to answer your questions throughout this time of remote learning! If you need to speak with a staff member, please email him/her directly or call the school and leave a message with our front office staff. Someone will return your call in a timely manner. You are also welcome to email me if you have a question or concern and I will have your email directed to the appropriate staff member.
