News from Lions Park School
Letter from the Principal
Dear Lions Park Families,
Many, many thanks to all of you, our PTO, the event chairs, Zhaleh Naghibzadeh and Anna Alog, and our PE teacher, Mr. Shaffer, for a VERY successful Roar and Run. We are so lucky to have such an incredibly generous school community. In addition to being a fun day filled with Lions Park spirit, the money raised will support many things for our school. The students had a lot of fun welcoming our new mascot with the song they voted for at our Mock Election. We welcomed Leo the Lion with "Have it All" by Jason Mraz.
We will be celebrating Halloween on October 31st at Lions Park, starting with a parade for all at 1:30pm and parties immediately following the parade. All parents are welcome to attend the parade, but the parties are only for students and the room parents who planned the parties. Costumes are only to be worn in the afternoon. There is a form below to fill out if you plan to bring your child home for lunch that day. It is perfectly fine for students to stay at school and they will be given time to put their costume on before the parade. It would be best to avoid sending anything that requires a lot of assistance if you plan for your child to get dressed at school. Costumes must be school appropriate and safe. No fake weapons of any kind are allowed. The parade comes out Door 1, heads west on Council Trail on the north side of the street and then loops back toward school on the south side of the street.
Our parent and teacher conferences are quickly approaching on November 19th, 20th and 21st. If you have not already done so, please sign up at this link. On the top right of each page, there is a drop-down menu that will allow you to access all of the different grade levels. Once you have selected the desired grade level, then you can select your child's teacher from the tabs at the top. If you wish to meet with any teacher or service provider who does not have a homeroom, you are welcome to email those people individually to set up a time. We look forward to this opportunity to discuss your student's growth.
