Message From Mr. A,

I hope you all had a very good Thanksgiving break. We are glad to have our students back. It's nice to hear how they spent their holiday break and how they were ready to come back to school.

The 1st grade Christmas performance is Thursday, December 14th at 6:00 p.m. in the Gospel Lighthouse Sanctuary. All students participating in the program need to be checked in at the sanctuary no later than 5:30 PM.

It’s that time of year to start ordering your 2017-2018 yearbook! You do not want to miss out on this year’s edition! This year’s yearbook will cost $28 and it will be worth it! Students who purchase a yearbook will participate in an end of the year signing party! To order

online go to: or go to and enter the school name and city where it says “Get Started Now”. We will also have order forms in the front office, just ask for Ms. C for assistance.

As the seasons change and the weather gets cooler the students will be transitioning from summer shoes to winter shoes. Please ensure that the students wear appropriate shoes with no heels and are skid-resistant as they damage the floor in the gym. ~Mrs. Byars

The sweatshirt sale has been extended through Friday, December 1st. If you are interested in purchasing a sweatshirt please fill out the form and return it along with the exact cash amount. Be sure to include the student's name, grade, homeroom teacher and sweatshirt size(s).

NEHS Toy Drive

Mountain Creek will be hosting a toy drive starting Monday, December 4th through Monday, December 18th. As you are out shopping over the break it would be greatly appreciated if you are able to support our students in doing a good deed for children that are less fortunate by purchasing and donating a new, unwrapped gift. We will take the toys to a Toys for Tots drop-off location on December 22th on behalf of the school.
