Ways to volunteer:
- Shelter Assistant: clean litter boxes, wash bedding, sweep, vacuum, feed/water, give medications, play with/socialize cats.
- Foster Care: provide safe, stress-free, healthy home environment to socialize and love kittens and cats while you prepare them for a forever home.
- Petsmart Adoption Center Shifts: clean litter boxes, sweep, feed/water, play with/socialize cats.
- Weekend Adoption Events: Time commitment varies; transport cats and equipment to local events; be friendly, outgoing and professional with public and prospective adopters. Also, fundraising, senior visits/pet therapy visits, voicemail and email support.

Washington Student Opportunity Scholarship
The Career and Technical Scholarship (CTS) supports Washington students on their path to high-demand trade, health care and STEM occupations. To be eligible, scholars must enroll in an approved program, such as welding, nursing or IT, at one of Washington’s 34 community and technical colleges. Scholars are eligible to receive up to $1,500 each quarter for the duration of their program, as well as support services. Deadline: July 12, 2019

Internships
SEH America (7 different internship positions)
Schedule: June 24th – August 2nd
The interns will be completing their 90 hour internships onsite as well as meeting with Natalie twice a week for job prep workshops. Each workshop will be 1-2 hours in length totaling about 24 hours of class time. The interns meet with their mentors a 3-4 times a week with an average weekly time of 15 hours.

40-hour externship this summer ASAP!
Business & Marketing - Silicon Forest Electronics (SFE) - They have a marketing project that would be ideal for someone with a marketing intellect. You will be working with their marketing team. SFE is next door to Fort Vancouver High School.
STEM - MacKay Sposito - This is a land surveying company. They would like to host one or two teacher externs and partner with a classroom in fall. Their main objective is to build awareness to students about careers in land surveying (a high demand career field in this area). They would like to use some of the externship time to plan some student outreach projects with the teacher. Their office is at the SE Tech Center.

Bike Clark County - Summer Camp Assistant
Bike Clark County is a non-profit organization that creates opportunities for empowerment, education, and social change through bicycles and bicycle repair. As a nonprofit, we run a full-service bike shop and repair bicycles donated from the community, and redistribute them through our charitable programs and affordable bike sales. As a community-focused bike shop, we teach the community how to repair their own bicycles in our shared-use shop space. Our charitable programs seek to make bicycles, and bicycle repair/safety education
available to the entire community regardless of income.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
BCC is looking for qualified individuals who are comfortable riding a bike in traffic, can ride 3-10 miles in a day, and have experience working with youth ages 6-9 and 10-14. You will be responsible to assist with the day to day activities for up to 12 +/- students. You will be responsible for helping to teach core bike safety curriculum and need to be able to teach in a collaborative setting.
The camp is a total of five weeks, each camp being 5 days long 8:00am-5:00pm. Besides the
curriculum, the camp consists of daily field trips by bike to fun activties such as The Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, the Pearson Air Museum, the Water Resources Center, and others!
Summer Bike Camp dates:
Week #1 July 8-12 : Ages 6-9
Week #2 July 15-19 : Ages 6-9
Week #3 July 22-26 : Ages 6-9
Week #4 July 29-Aug 2: Ages 10-14
Week #5 Aug 5-9: Ages 10-14
Qualifications needed to do the job successfully
Need to be able to ride a bike in traffic & supervise kids.
Need to be able to work well with children.
Need to be able to assist kids with possible special needs.
Need to be able to pass a background check.
Part time & full time positions $12-17/hour DOE.
