January News From The Principal

January 13, 2022

Dear Immaculate Conception School families,

I hope you enjoyed the snow day. Although we did not anticipate a day off the first week back, the break at the end of the week and the beauty of the snow reminded me of God's infinite blessings. I pray the start of the New Year has begun peacefully, and wish each of you a new year filled with hope, good health, and an understanding that God sent the Christ child to fill our hearts with love. With God all things are possible!

I am pleased to announce and welcome a new person to our ICS staff! Mr. Noe has joined Mr. Milton in our maintenance dept. Noe's first day was our snow day.

Covid Update:

While there was certainly an uptick in cases upon the immediate return to school from Christmas break, we are so very blessed to already be experiencing a decline. This week the NJ DOH has adopted the revised CDC guidelines for school setting and ICS will be implementing these changes moving forward. It continues to be imperative that symptomatic students please stay home from school. This is also true of anyone waiting for test results.

Please use the new Absence Reporting Procedures when a student is not present at school.

Catholic Schools Week is almost here!

ICS is planning a week of incredible fun and celebration for our students and staff! Sunday, January 30th is the first day of Catholic Schools Week (CSW) and I am inviting all families to attend 9 am Mass. Whether you attend Mass at ICC or another parish, students need to be in "ICS uniform." If your child attends Mass in uniform at IC there will be a sign-up sheet at lobby of church. If you do not attend IC, I would encourage you to attend your home parish and spread the word about how "ICS IS THE BEST!" Each teacher will inform his/her students as to when the dress down day will be granted. Again, students need to be in full dress uniform in order to be entitled to a free dress down day. The ICS Catholic Schools Week Agenda listing the week's fabulous details is coming your way soon.
