BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING: September 6, 2022 (7PM)

The Livingston Board of Education will hold a public meeting tonight, Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 7PM in the Central Office, 11 Foxcroft Drive.


Tonight's meeting will be held in a hybrid format during which participants will have the ability to ask questions and make comments either in person or via the webinar. Register for the webinar using the link below. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the district's Facebook page, @LivSchools.

Community Conversation on School Security

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2022 (6:30PM)


Livingston Public Schools will host a program entitled, “Community Conversation on School Security,'' on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 6:30-8pm in the Livingston High School Auditorium.


"School safety and security is always on the forefront of our planning. We work closely with the Livingston Police Department (LPD), Livingston Fire Department (LFD) and others throughout the year to ensure we are providing optimal security for our schools," said Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Matthew J. Block.


This program, which will include district administrators and members of the LPD and LFD, will provide information about community collaboration on this important issue. Time will also be allotted for questions and answers. No pre-registration is required.

Call 988 For Mental Health Emergencies

The Federal Communications Commission recently approved a new 3-digit dialing code, 988, for mental health crisis and suicide prevention. The 988 line will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for calls, texts, and chat beginning on July 16th, 2022.

LACD SEPTEMBER SPLASH



The Livingston Advisory Committee for Disabilities (LACD) will host "Santa's September Splash" on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 11AM-1PM at the Livingston Senior/Community Center, 204 Hillside Avenue. This event is for individuals with special needs and their families. This event is FREE. Registration is required. PLEASE RSVP BY SEPTEMBER 7!

LWV TO HOST DEBATE

The Livingston League of Women Voters will hold a Livingston Township Council Debate on Wednesday evening, September 21, 7:30-10PM, via ZOOM. There are 7 candidates running for three open seats on the Town Council. The ZOOM link will be posted on the League website www.freewebs.com/lwvlivingston. Jennette Williams of the Montclair League of Women Voters will serve as moderator.
