1.Monday, October 18 thru Friday, October 22, 2021, is week #5 of 6 weeks of Grading Period #2. The Grading Period ends Friday, October 29, 2021.


2. Extremely important: Parents, please keep your child home if they are experiencing any COVID-like symptoms. If you are unsure, please call the school at 408-729-2281and speak with any one of my team members prior to dropping your child off at school or you can speak with Mr. Rios at the front of the school before dropping your child off. Your cooperation is much appreciated.


3. LCPA is currently looking for PEER Tutors. If you are interested in serving as a PEER TUTOR for Community Service Hours, please contact our Coordinator of Student Advocacy Ms. Lindsey Perez at Lperez@sjlcpa.org

LCPA Parents: The Santa Clara County Office of Education’s Parent Engagement Program will host their Fall event – “Building Foundations for Families to Thrive” - a virtual event on Zoom that features speakers and workshops focusing on Social-Emotional Learning, Self-Care, and Mental Health. This virtual event invites educators and parents to create a community culture which builds up positive attributes in our children so they can respond with resilience and thrive.


The Main Sessions for this virtual event will take place on Oct 6, 13, and 20 via Zoom from 6:30pm-8:00pm. This event is FREE to all families, but registration is required so participants can receive their Zoom link. Participants who attend the virtual event will be eligible for giveaway items sponsored by Fogo de Chao, Kendra Scott, Project Cornerstone, 6th District PTA, Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI) and more! Class of 2022! The Hispanic Heritage Foundation’s (HHF) 2021 Youth Awards educational grants program is now accepting applications! Our 23rd Annual Youth Awards will award students who are the graduating Class of 2022 with up to to fund their higher education or to fund a community-based project.

Scholarship Opportunity for Class of 2022

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation’s (HHF) 2021 Youth Awards educational grants program is now accepting applications! Our 23rd Annual Youth Awards will award students who are the graduating Class of 2022 with up to to fund their higher education or to fund a community-based project.


Recipients will be selected for their accomplishments in the classroom, community, and for their excellence in various educational categories. Recipients will be celebrated at virtual ceremonies, in the following categories:

  • Business & Entrepreneurship
  • Community Service
  • Education
  • Engineering
  • Green Sustainability
  • Healthcare & Science
  • Media & Entertainment
  • Public Service & Social Justice
  • Sports & Fitness
  • Technology
  • Be currently enrolled in high school and graduating in the spring of 2022
  • Must have a minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale
  • Must enroll at an accredited higher education institution in 2022-2023
  • Be of Hispanic heritage (includes Spain, Brazil, Philippines)
  • If selected, attendance to virtual ceremony is mandatory
  • Be a U.S. permanent resident, U.S. citizen, or qualify under DACA
