Technology

In The U.S. During The 1950's & 1960's

Mass Media:

Description:

Means of communication that reach large audiences (Television developed with lightning speed.)

Cause & Outcome of The Event:

People needed a way to see things without "actually being there." The outcome was the T.V. industry sky-rocketed.

Importance:

This is important because, it allowed people from anywhere in the U.S. to experience something that wasn't even near them on a television monitor.

3-D Imagery:

Description:

Images viewed through glasses, supplied by theatres, appeared to leap into the audience.

Cause & Outcome of The Event:

After this was invented many things were added such as smells that were put into theatres to go along with the movie. Americans really were astonished by the technology put into it.

Importance:

This is important because, if 3-D would have never existed back in the 1950's and 1960's; improvements and technology today might not be as far as it is.
