Week 30 for Families and Community March 20-24, 2023
Welcome Spring!
Dear Altadena Eliot Arts Families,
Our campuses are buzzing with the life of a verdant spring quickly approaching! I love this time of year! Peter Pan rehearsals are in their final weeks of practice before opening night, the annual Gala plans are shaping up nicely and our staff and students are close enough to spring break to hear its promise of some restful time off before the frenzy of end of year activities bring us to the close of another school year.
This last week we had a successful lockdown drill on both sites, a super fun Pi Day (pie your favorite teacher) lunchtime event at the middle school and our fifth and eighth grade students are preparing for their defenses.
We are also gearing up for Math Field Day and our CAASPP testing for 3-8 graders is right around the corner.
Lately, I've been spending a bit of time looking at iReady assessment data in Reading and Math and I am happy to see that many of our students have made significant progress toward annual typical growth and annual stretch growth. If you are interested in knowing more about how your child is performing on their iReady practice and diagnostics, please reach out to your child's teacher(s).
Please get your tickets to the Gala and to Peter Pan now! These are two awesome events you won't want to miss!

Listen up, guys and dolls! The bee's knees of events is just around the corner! It's time to get dolled up for our annual gala on March 30th, where we'll be hittin' the roof with our school's finest parents and supporters! Snatch up your tickets by the 15th and you'll score a nifty 50% off your second ticket when you buy one at full price. Round up your pals and let's paint the town red! It's gonna be a night to remember!
Donations
Say, have you heard the buzz? The annual fund is in dire need of donations for the upcoming auction! We've already got a swell list of items, but we're looking for more! If you're sitting on some real McCoy treasures and want to donate, don't hesitate to reach out to eliotartsannualfund@gmail.com. Let's make this auction the cat's meow, shall we?
