Dear Parents,

It was so fun to see our Rose students dressed up during the Halloween parade. There were a lot of creative costumes and fun excitement as students paraded through the halls and outside. Thank you to parent volunteers that made memorable and fun parties despite the procedures that needed to be followed.

  • Remember that there is no school on Friday, November 5th since teachers have an Institute Day.

  • COVID updates- There are procedural changes to school COVID communication effective this week. Please know that we will no longer send a letter home for each positive case at Rose School, but we will send a weekly update with current positive COVID case information. You can also check the district COVID Dashboard for up-to-date district COVID information if you have additional questions about positive cases and quarantines.

Student Positive Cases - Oct. 30-0, Oct. 31-0, Nov. 1-0, Nov. 2-1, Nov. 3-0

Staff Positive Cases - Oct. 30-0, Oct. 31-0, Nov. 1-0, Nov. 2-0, Nov. 3-0

  • Veterans’ Day Assembly- We are excited to bring back our Veterans’ Day Assembly to recognize and honor all of the veterans that have dedicated their lives to keeping our country safe. Our intermediate grade students will attend the assembly in person and our primary classes have the opportunity to view the assembly virtually due to space constraints. Families will be welcome to view the assembly virtually as well. We will send out a live stream link next week. Classroom teachers will be inviting students to share information about veterans in their family.

  • School Pictures- Mrs. McKee brought to our attention that her sub sent home all of her students’ original picture proofs with just 1 student as they were in an envelope all together. Did you receive your child’s picture proof? If not, you can still go online to see your child’s picture proof and order if you would like at inter-state.com/FlyerEntry/60658VF.

  • Menu Change- Chicken drumsticks are currently out of stock and will not be available for lunch on Tuesday, Nov. 9. Therefore, it is necessary to change the hot menu item to a chicken fajita for Tuesday, Nov. 9. Menus will be updated to reflect this change.

  • Please send me an email (hschumacher@barrington220.org) if your child is celebrating something special! We love to highlight the accomplishments of our Rose Stingrays!

Sincerely,

Heather Schumacher, Principal
