The Connecting with Kids through School Health Conference focuses on the Whole Child. The conference theme encompasses leadership, partnership, strategies and programs that support student well-being.
Conference Audience: Administrators, Teachers, Counselors, Social Workers, Nurses, Intervention Specialists, School-Based Health Center Staff, Prevention Workers, Nutrition Educators, School Health Coordinators, and anyone interested in supporting healthy students.

NEW MOASH Resource Launched: the K-5 Consent Toolkit
MOASH, in partnership with sexual violence prevention experts across the state, is excited to announce the launch of a new resource: the K-5 Consent Toolkit!
This resource responds to the needs of teachers, parents, and caregivers for quality consent education for students in elementary school. The toolkit includes recommendations for specific resources - including curricula, videos, books, and websites - as well as best practices for implementing consent lessons with K-5 youth. Also included is an overview of Michigan’s standards for K-5 consent education and a guide to understanding local district policy to advance school-based education in your community.

Trauma-Informed Programs & Practices for Schools (TIPPS)
Trauma-Informed Programs & Practices for Schools (TIPPS) Project recently released some resources that might be helpful as schools strive to implement trauma-informed practices and strategies.
The TIPPS Program Guide gives school and district leaders, teachers, and other professional staff a comprehensive overview of trauma-informed schools. The guide provides background on adversity, trauma, and the role of schools by addressing the following questions:
- What is childhood adversity and trauma?
- What is resilience?
- How can schools help promote resilience and healing in students
- impacted by trauma?
- What is a “system” approach to trauma-informed schools and
- what differentiates this approach from other approaches?
