Caring For Yourself
during the Coronavirus Outbreak 3/30-4/5
Dear WSD staff and families,
The outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) can be stressful for both adults and children. During this time when we are not together in our school buildings, we would like to provide some ways to take care of yourself! Please find some ideas and suggestions below that we encourage you to try!
Practice Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a type of meditation in which you focus on being intensely aware of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment. When you practice mindfulness, you are focusing on specific breathing methods, visualizations or guided imagery and this allows your body and mind to relax, refocus and reduce stress.

****National Suicide Prevention Lifeline****
1-800-273-TALK (8255)
This is a crisis hotline for any age that can help with many issues, not just suicide. For example, anyone who feels sad, hopeless, or suicidal; family and friends who are concerned about a loved one; or anyone interested in mental health treatment referrals can call the Lifeline. Callers are connected with a professional nearby who will talk with them about what they are feeling or concerns for other family and friends. If you or someone you know is in suicidal crisis, call the hotline (toll free, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week).
