Peek at the Week
May 6-10
THANK YOU, EDGELEA STAFF MEMBERS!
Whether you are a teacher, paraprofessional, social worker, school counselor, nurse, building maintenance, food and service person, or secretary, we are all part of a very important job of educating students. Your work hard, day in and day out, and it does not go unnoticed. You document, differentiate, collaborate, share, sacrifice, give, search, clean up code yellow, brown, and V. You input data, care, come in early, stay late, think until your brain hurts, go to meetings, spend your own money, volunteer, attend trainings, you wipe up, clean up, cheer others up, you keep on learning, you feed the hungry, and you love unconditionally! YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the lives of children.
Please know, with heartfelt gratitude, how much I appreciate what you do and how honored I am to be a part of this amazing staff at Edgelea. Truly, a day does not go by that I am not thankful to be a part of this great school and this amazing group of people. THANK YOU!

Indiana's Employability Standards
Indiana’s Employability Skills Standards allow students to be prepared for the ever-changing needs of today’s workforce. These standards are to be implemented beginning in the 2019-2020 school year. The expectation is for students to work through the standards in multi-subject areas. We will review the Indiana Employability Standards at our May 7th staff meeting. Don't panic! Many of the standards are already being taught.

Alternative Ideas for Indoor Field Day Due to Weather
Did you know that you can watch tons of 360° videos on Youtube? You can search through tons of 360° videos on almost anything. Find exciting videos from National Geographic, Discovery VR, the Science Channel and more to use in your class.
NationalParks.org provides students with electronic field trips that provide students the opportunity to go to parks they may never otherwise get to visit. The National Parks Service offers free ranger-guided virtual field trips on a first come first serve basis.
With the Google Expeditions app, available on iOs and Android, you can take your class on interactive journeys in both VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality). Through Aquilla Education’s website, you can search available expeditions by grade level, subject or location.
360° Cities provides high-resolution panoramic images of locations all over the world. Images can be used in VR lessons or on any device.
