Bearcat Weekly

Thanksgiving week!

Bearcat Praises

Thanks so much to everyone who made this a fantastic week!

Thank you Mr. Johnson and the 6th grade seniors who helped decorate our cafeteria for the Thanksgiving Lunch! It was so nice and I loved seeing the leaves with what the kids were thankful for. I know a lot of our visitors commented on them as well.

Congratulations to both Mr. Santiago and Mr. Johnson on being named our star staff members of the 2nd six weeks. Harold has just done such a tremendous job helping our ESL students and definitely goes above and beyond each and every day. I've had the honor of working with him for two years now and the care he has for kids is unmistakable. And what more can we say about Mr. Johnson. He is someone who makes everyone around him better as Emily pointed out. He is a true example of we all hope to be as educators. The impact that he is making on his kids is something they will never forget. He will definitely be the one they tell their kids about someday :)

Thank you all so much for another round of productive data meetings. We are all finished with our second round of testing and it's great to see the progress our students are making. As I've said, this is a marathon and not a sprint so we have some work to do but we are well on our way to a successful year!

I want to give a shoutout to Ms. Pemberton for the outstanding job she is doing in her PACE classes. She has jumped right into that role and has just done such a tremendous job. I hear all the time from the kids on how much they enjoy going to her class and she them doing some awesome things. Great job Brennan!

All Staff meeting on November 30

We will have our next faculty meeting on November 30 at 3:50pm in the library. Please mark your calendars. We have several events coming up after Thanksgiving and want to make sure everyone is aware of what all will be going on campus wide.

So Much to be Thankful for!

I want to thank everyone for making this such a great place to work. We have so many blessings to be thankful for and I hope everyone is able to get some much needed rest and enjoy some great family time over the break. My one piece of advice during Thanksgiving break is to stay away from school :) Everyone has worked tremendously hard over the first few months of school and you need some time away. I promise it will all still be here when you get back! Thanks again for all that you do each and every day!
