Meet Your Teachers
I am a two time graduate of the University of Louisville (GO CARDS) and Bellarmine University . I have been teaching for 21 years. Two years at Kammerer Middle teaching advanced Math and Science, three years at Camp Taylor Elementary, and the rest here at Greathouse. During my time at Greathouse, I have taught ECE Resource, 5th grade, and lastly 4th grade (specifically, Science and Social Studies.) I LOVE SCIENCE and get excited to see young ones that love it as well.
I have several additional roles here at Greathouse. I am the Academic Team coordinator as well as the coordinator for our Kids For Kids Drive.
I live in South Louisville, close to Iroquois Park, and I have an 18 year old son (Joshua) who is beginning his college Freshman year at Asbury College and a 13 year old daughter (Elizabeth) who is an 8th grader at St. Raphael. We are very active in sports as well as cultural events so we are always on the go. However, when we get time to relax, we love to visit Gatlinburg and hike the trails and mountains.
I truly love my job and cant wait to work with parents and students to make this the best year ever. #LIONPRIDE!!!
Mrs. Banet
I am a graduate of Bellarmine University and Indiana University Southeast. I have been teaching for 11 1/2 years, all of them here at Greathouse. During this time I have taught 1/2 year in 1st grade, 7 years in 3rd grade, and 4 years as the 4th grade Math teacher. I never thought that I would, but I absolutely LOVE teaching Math all day long!
I live in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. I have a 3 year old son (James) and a 9 month old daughter (Anna). My family and I spend most of our free time at Rough River Lake, as we are avid water skiers.
I grew up listening to old country music, I enjoy eating pizza, dancing, and organizing, and I am (sadly) a pretty poor cook! I have climbed to the top of Mount Sopris in Colorado, but I cannot quote a single movie! I am looking forward to getting to know your children and making Math fun and interesting this year!
Mrs. Herberger

I love teaching reading an writing and can't wait to jump right in this year and get started!
I am blessed with 3 beautiful children, Samantha (4th grade), Riley (1st grade), and Paxton (preschool). My husband, Tony, and I have been together for 20 years and married for 12. My family loves spending time outside swimming, taking family walks, running, biking, and cheering on U of L! Go Cards!

Ms. Weiter
Hello! I am a two-time graduate of the University of Louisville. I earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Elementary Education. I achieved National Board Certification with a middle childhood generalist concentration in 2015. This will be my 10th year in the classroom and my 1st at Greathouse. I have taught 7 years in 5th grade and 2 years in 3rd grade covering all subject areas. I am so excited to be right in the middle as a 4th grade teacher!
I am a born and raised Louisvillian and love the big city-small town feel. I have a pretty big family and run into people all over the city! I am convinced that aunt life is the best life with my three nieces and a nephew that I enjoy spending time with. A few of my favorite things are family, running, UofL sporting events, and the Chicago Cubs!
I am excited to get to know your children and making reading and writing both interesting and engaging this year.
