Writing Effective Rubrics
On October 27th, the John A. Dutton e-Education Institute is hosting a brown bag presentation about rubrics. Rubrics are used to help students self-assess their own work, for peer review of student work, and also for both formative and summative assessment. This session will cover the different types of rubrics and walk through some best practices for creating your own. Participants will leave with some sample rubrics to adapt for use in their own courses, including a demonstration of the rubric feature of Canvas.

About eConversations
eConversations is an initiative that grew out of the Faculty Engagement Subcommittee of the Online Coordinating Council. We try to bring together classroom practitioners to solve online dilemmas, but often find these cross over to residential and hybrid courses as well. We welcome all in the spirit in engaging in critical conversations to improve the student and faculty experience in the classroom...no matter where!
