Cambridge Park families,

While we always teach kindness and respect here at Cambridge Park, we are participating in a week-long initiative that encourages and celebrate acts of kindness with intentional, developmentally appropriate school-wide activities. These activities act as a springboard for classroom discussions and additional activities. We hope you'll join us on Friday, February 17th for our Buddy Reading event where we'll be celebrating Black culture & history, and a love for literacy with our friends and families (information below).

A parent, caregiver, or a "special someone" is invited to participate in Buddy Reading on Friday, February 17th. Students will be enjoying books about Black history, Black culture, or written by Black authors. The Matawan Aberdeen Public Library will be here to provide books to students to read and to offer parents the opportunity to get library cards for their child.

Only one guest per student will be permitted. All visitors must be pre-registered in order to attend the event. To register for our Buddy Reading event, please click here.

Students go outside to play every day unless there is active participation or the temperature is below freezing. So don't forget to make sure your child has appropriate outerwear to keep them warm! This includes hats, gloves/mittens, and warm coats.

Through the ADA Foundation's Give Kids A Smile program, launched nationally by the American Dental Association in 2003, more than 5 million undeserved children have received free oral health services. These free services are provided by approximately 10,000 dentists annually, along with 30,000 other dental team members.

Each year in NJ, more than 100 dental practices and clinics participate in this one-day event. In 2023, they are expanding the Give Kids A Smile program and celebrating all month long.
