PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
It has been bit of a rocky start getting all the kids back and settled in but we are beginning to get most things smoothed out. One of our biggest hurdles is lack of staff. From bus drivers to para pros and lunch monitors we are truly running on a skeleton crew with many job postings going without applicants. If you or anyone you know is interested in working for the school district please reach out to learn of open positions available.
At Weston we promote good behavior and follow the Bee Code. We strive to always be respectful, responsible, and ready to learn. We have daily announcements and reminders to follow the Bee Code. Please continue to reinforce the Bee Code at home as well.
This coming week we get to celebrate Kearsley Homecoming with spirit week, the parade, football game, crowning of a queen and the whole nine yards. It's going to be a fun week at Weston! See information later in this newsletter for ways you can be involved in Kearsley's Homecoming.
We are also hard at work planning for a fun family Harvest Fest celebration complete with Trunk or Treating, hay rides and games on October 28th for our Kearsley Community. Stay tuned on details coming soon.

PARENT PICK-UP & DROP OFF
You MUST use our Weston car loop to drop student off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon. Please do not walk students into the building in the morning unless you have an appointment with school staff. Both our arrival and dismissal lines have been moving quicker each day. We appreciate your patience as we worked out the bugs and got into a routine.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS
It is our policy that students be in attendance and on time at least 90% of the time.
Should your child need to be absent, we ask that you call school to verify the absence (810)591-8483. For the absence to be considered "medical" we will need a doctor's note.
