We appreciate that Gina Karp was able to give us a review of Restorative Practices and deepen our understanding more about using circles in the classroom. She fixed the tinyurl, so if you can submit a quick evaluation, she would appreciate it:

PTA News
Your PTA is already busy enriching Roosevelt!
The first Student Store and Dippin Dots sales will start this Wednesday August 21st at lunchtime. This activity will be every Wednesday during both lunches. Let your students know!! We also need parent helpers from 11-1 to sell items and be part of the group! Email lizdebaets@gmail.com for info!
The Friday Spirit Cart is up and running! Every Friday students who demonstrate school spirit: wear RED or have a Roosevelt shirt on can choose one FREE item from the spirit cart:). It is free and it is fun! Let your students know to dress with spirit! I will accept any large red or red clothing item, red shoes, shirt, pants, glasses, brace rubber bands, hair ties. I don’t accept backpacks, clothing I can’t see, red in a print on a shirt, maroon, pink...it has to be purposeful:). Also, staff is welcome to come get an item as well and I encourage you to have spirit as well! And, this program could use a few parents, although student store needs more! This is 11-1. Please spread the word! Also, the free items are usually school supplies, games, trinkets, crafts, clothes even, shoes, hand me downs, toys….honestly the kids like everything!! Any donations are appreciated! Clean out your closet, toy chest, office! Send it to the office labeled PTA.
Communication—-the PTA uses two Facebook accounts to share info, a page and a group. Join us! Also, within the last 24 hours an email was sent out to our entire email list. There were three emails sent to those interested in specific areas 1) general info 2) student store opportunities 3) board and special involvement info. If you want to be included in the communication for any of these groups and you did not receive the email——send an email to lizdebaets@gmail.com and indicate what type area you want to receive info about - general, student store, board. I encourage all staff to join at least the general info list and the Facebook page and group. I don’t usually automatically add staff, except a few who are involved in the items I promote. So please join the email! Thanks!!
