Philadelphia Electrical & Technology Charter High School

Class Meetings with Administration on Monday 2/1 & Tuesday 2/2

There will be no Zoom classes on Monday 2/1 or Tuesday 2/2 as our teachers attend inservice meetings, participate in professional development sessions and prepare for the 2nd Semester.

Instead, students must attend their Class Meeting with Administration on the correct day and time below:

9th and 10th grade Meeting: Monday February 1, 2021@ 1pm

11th and 12th grade Meeting: Tuesday February 2, 2021 @ 1pm

Zoom links for these meeting were emailed to students.


The second half of the school year kicks off on Wednesday, February 3rd. Students should sign in for attendance and attend all of their new Zoom classes. This will be the first day for students in their new courses with new teachers.

2nd Semester Rosters were mailed home and emailed to students. Students should also check their school email and look for an email from each of their new teachers. When they login to Schoology (, students will automatically be enrolled in their new classes. They can find their teacher's Zoom link along with information about their classes and weekly assignments from their teachers on Schoology.

Zoom Classes - Schedule Change for S2

During the 2nd Semester, students will attend ALL of their classes Monday through Thursday. A copy of the new schedule was mailed home with rosters and can also be found on our school website. Students will still have an asynchronous day on Fridays when they must complete and submit all of their weekly assignments in Schoology to their teachers by 3pm. There will also still be Open Zoom time for extra help from teachers on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 1:50 each day. Resource / Learning Support Zooms are also still on the schedule .

Report Cards

1st Semester Report Cards will be mailed the week of February 8th. Students who failed courses and therefore did not earn credit, will be contacted about our credit recovery program. If you do not receive a report card by February 15th, please call the Academics Office at 267-514-1823 ext. 221 or email Ms. Barnes at

Black History Month

February is Black History Month! There will be a Black History segment on our weekly broadcast and lessons highlighting Black History in our Social Studies classes.

School Holidays in February

Friday, Feb. 12th - Lunar New Year - No School

Monday, Feb. 15th - Presidents Day - No School

Thursday, Feb 25th will be an asynchronous day; students must sign in for attendance and work independently on assignments from their teachers. Teachers will be available on Open Zoom from 10:00- 12:00 for students who have questions or require assistance.

SGA & NHS Meeting

Members of our Student Government Association and National Honor Society will have a Zoom meeting on Monday, February 8th at 1:50pm. Link for the meeting will be sent via Remind.

Activities at PE&T - Get Involved!

We are currently offering FREE virtual afterschool programming to all students and it is never too late to sign up! Clubs are held on Zoom at 3pm from Tuesday-Thursday. Below is info on all clubs currently running. To sign up for any club please email Mr. Cassidy at with the student name and which clubs you are interested in.

Video Production Club. Interested in filmmaking? Join our Broadcast news team! You have seen the Broadcast announcements and now you can be a part of our team with moderators Mr. Elkin and Ms. Theresa as either on air anchor or a behind the scenes film editor, director, and writer! Learn film production skills and techniques!

Newspaper Club. Interested in journalism, writing, editing, or photography? This club is for you! Join moderators Ms. Silhol and Mr. Spears and help create a monthly newspaper for the Philadelphia E&T Community!

Coding/Robotics. Join moderators Ms. Longhitano and Ms. Kriessler as you learn computer programming skills in a fun environment that is open to all no matter your current coding experience!
