We are so excited to help families in need through the holidays and to support our community. Let's make this the best Share Your Shelf ever. It is our goal to collect 1000 food items at Truman to support our community!

Please place non-perishable foods here November 1-4!

FIDGETS NEEDED for Truman Elementary Calm Spaces

At Truman Elementary we provide a dedicated calming space in each classroom where we keep a box for kids to access calming tools, books and activities that can help them to regulate when needed. The space is called "Australia", aptly named from Alexander and the Horrible, Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, when Alexander realizes everyone has hard moments, even in Australia.

We have provided this space for many years and we now are needing to replenish our calming boxes. This is where you can help! All those fidgets that your children have grown tired of or abandoned can be donated to Truman.

What we need:

PopITs

Fidget Spinners

Stress Balls

Rubix Cubes

Infinity Cubes

Tangle Ropes

Putty

and anything else that would be helpful.

We also can use copies of books that deal with stress, worry, anger and frustration.

Your students may bring these to the office or donate them to their classroom box.

Thank you for helping us to have safe spaces for students to regulate when at school.
