Sherburn Hungate Weekly News - Spring Term - Issue 3

A word from Mr Broom

Brrrrr! What a cold start to the week we had. I must say what a fantastic job Mr Wooffindin did to make our site nice and safe. I arrived on Tuesday morning at 7am to find him checking all the paths with a shovel of grit in his hand.

It's been an exciting week. Our Y5 children visited Sherburn High School and I have to say, it was lovely to hear of the very positive comments from the teaching staff up there who said our children were the best behaved groups they had. A proud moment for me.

Today our KS1 children are out of school visiting the Magna Science Museum near Sheffield. I know they'll be having a super time.

Finally, on a more serious note, can I ask that parents refrain from parking on the yellow lines at the top of the school gates. While I realise it's not easy parking on a morning, I'd hate for a child to harmed through something that's avoidable. Thank you in advance for your support with this.

Have a great weekend.
