NEWS AND INFO FOR WILDCAT STAFF 9.4
AFFIRMATION OF THE WEEK
Have a wonderful week!
PBL TIMELINE - YOU ARE HERE
PBL should be in full swing. Classes should be building background knowledge and developing skills, always helping students make connections between the content they're learning and the driving question. There should be a T-chart in each classroom with what students "Know" and what they "Need to Know" in order to answer the Driving Question. The next step is for students to understand the problem through inquiry and develop content knowledge and skills (standards) they will need to solve the problem.
Should Already Be Complete:
- Entry Event
- Know/Need to Know charts and student questions displayed
- Students should know the Driving Question
PBL To Do This Week:
- Post the driving question.
- Make sure students know the Driving Question and the problem they will be engaging in. Admin and coaches will be asking students what their project is and what the Driving Question is.
- Make sure you have displayed reflections and Know/Need to Know
- Follow the 5E model to engage students in interdisciplinary, multisensory instruction to learn content through inquiry. Continuously revisit the Driving Question and purpose for what students are learning.
