The Last Minute
And while I will certainly remember this year forever, I am very much looking forward to the most normal of years ever in 2021! Changing classes, lockers, lunch tables, and so much more! Thank you to all of our Norwood Families for being so supportive of our staff and school during this entire year - your support made the difference.
Grade 8 Timeline
Monday, June 14th - 7:30-10:00PM Movie Night at CMS
Tuesday, June 15th -6:00-8:00PM CMS at Launch
Wednesday, June 16th - Broadcast of Awards via NCM (no students will be at this event, it is televised and previously recorded with teachers)
Thursday, June 17th - Promotion by Team
Friday, June 18th - Last day of school for all students, dismissal at 11:00AM.
And a BIG Thank You to the parents and teachers on our grade 8 committee for helping to organize all of these events: Mollie Caravello, Michelle Martino, Karen Guarin, Laura McCarthy, Jenn Brady, Rosa Conneely, Vicky D'Annuncio, Robert McDonough, Courtney Schick, and Bridget Manning. You all outdid yourselves!

Student Transfers
Any students transferring to another school district, attending a private school or another high school other than Norwood High, please make sure to contact your child's guidance counselor before the end of the year.
Attached is the release form that must be filled out in order to ensure that your child's new school receives the pertinent school information (Transcripts, attendance, testing results, health record, discipline, etc.)

Coakley Connects Summer Program
There will be two two-week sessions and families can sign up for one or both. Each session is only $25 and runs from 8:30-12:30 AM each morning during the month of July. We are very excited to be able to offer this program for the first time this summer!

2021 Virtual Summer Workshop for Girls!
Promoting Adolescent Wellbeing through Social Media: Digital Wellbeing Workshops
The Youth, Media & Wellbeing Research Lab and the Computer Science Department at Wellesley College are hosting a free virtual summer workshop for middle school girls about designing healthier social media experiences. The workshop will be remote and run Monday - Thursday, July 19-23 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. EST. The workshop is open to girls and will accept approximately 25 participants. News From the Nurse
Please see the attached letter about Massachusetts 7th grade physical and immunization requirements. If your student has had a physical since 9/1/2020, and you have not yet sent in a copy, please bring/send in a hard copy, email to jkozol@norwood.k12.ma.us, or have the doctor fax to 833-704-1903 before the end of the school year.
If your child still needs the physical and/or immunizations, please schedule an appointment over the summer so that the requirements will be met by the first day of school in September.
