IMPORTANT REMINDERS

Cap & Gown Sales

A limited supply of caps and gowns are available for purchase at the Student Center Information Desk for $40.

If you purchased your cap and gown online, you will receive a confirmation email with information about pickup dates and times, which begin in May. We highly suggest that you try on your cap and gown prior to the week of Commencement to make sure that it fits properly. All cap and gown packages include a 2019 tassel, cap, and gown. If your gown does not fit your height and you need a different size, we will have a limited quantity at the Information Desk and could possibly exchange it for you.

Accessibility Accommodations and Accessible Seating Requests

Accessible seating will be provided for those with limited mobility or those who require a wheelchair. The University cannot guarantee that there will be accessible seating available after the deadline. Please note that there will be two tickets available per request, one for the person with mobility issues and one for a companion.

Students are required to fill out a form to request accessible tickets in advance, and all requests are due by April 26, 2019.

ASL interpreters will be onsite, and visible from any area in the DCU center.

Wheelchairs are not provided either by the DCU or the University.

Preparing for Commencement

Graduation Ceremony Eligibility

Check WebAdvisor for eligibility to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Your eligibility to participate can be found by clicking the Graduation Eligibility link under your Academic Profile section of WebAdvisor. This link will be populated with information after all reviews have been completed. Reviews can only begin after the add/drop period is over in your graduation semester. For example, if you are a May candidate, your Graduation Eligibility link will be populated with information by the end of February or beginning of March. If you are an early May, August, or December graduate, your Graduation Eligibility link will not populate information as your record is sealed. Early May, August, and December graduates are eligible to participate in the May ceremony.

Commencement Invitations

Pick up your commencement invitations in April at the Student Center Information Desk to distribute to friends and family. There are no limitations to the number of guests you can invite. The invitations are keepsakes only and not required for admission to the DCU Center.
