St. Joseph School - August 26th COVID Update

New Info From the Indiana Board of Health

The Dekalb County Health Department sent out updated information from the Indiana Board of Health. We now have much clearer guidance about what to do if we get a case at St. Joseph School and what you can do when your kids are sick and not feeling well and you don't think it's COVID or you just don't know.   • They changed symptom list to be congruent with CDC. So they removed the cough/congestion and chills/muscle aches.
  • They say now that whole household must quarantine while waiting for results, so we would be sending home siblings of anyone with COVID symptoms that are sent home
  • If not tested, household is considered a close contact and would be out 14 days.
  • If negative test, can return if symptoms have resolved and no fever for 24 hours, no physician note needed
