The date is set for Saturday October 3rd from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Residents who wish to participate need to place balloons on their mailboxes and set up in their own garage and/or driveway. There will be signs at each of the 3 entrances plus Ads in both local Newspapers.

NOTE: Early shoppers often start arriving as early as 7:00am, so if you have your garage door open you could have shoppers that early.

ONE SIGN ALLOWED PER YARD - ONLY ONE PLEASE!

With the political season upon us, this is your reminder that residents of Covington Place are only allowed to have ONE SIGN in your yard at any time. If you are supporting multiple candidates you will need to rotate your signs as you can only display ONE SIGN at a time. Displaying more than one sign will result in a Covenant Violation.

Also signs are not allowed to be placed on Common Areas such as subdivision entrances, parks, the pool parking lot, the play ground, etc. Any signs placed in these areas will be removed immediately.

NO DUMPING ALLOWED ON ANY PRIVATE PROPERTY!

We have a recurring problem with dumping in Covington Place and it's residents who are at fault. We continue to have pet owners who allow their pets to dump (especially large dogs) on vacant lots as well as common areas. We also have residents who dump their yard waste (grass clippings and limbs) on vacant lots instead of following the City Ordinance of how to dispose of them.

Please, do not allow either of these to take place anywhere in our neighborhood and especially on Vacant Lots and Common Areas:
1 - Pet Waste - You are responsible for disposing of your pet's waste properly.
2 - Yard Waste - You are responsible for disposing of your yard waste according to City Guidelines.

We have vacant lots in Eagles Pointe and High Lake Terrace, so please do not contribute to dumping of any kind on any of these lots. Just because there is a vacant lot doesn't mean it's OK to dump on it. Every lot has an owner who hopes to sell it and your waste on their lot does not improve it's chances of selling. Also, landscapers will not pick up your yard waste when they come to cut vacant lots.

We are the premier and most desirable swim/tennis/golf neighborhood in Newton and Rockdale Counties and we all need to do our best to keep it that way. Please, NO DUMPING!

OVERNIGHT VISITORS & CAMPERS/RVs PARKED IN THE STREET or AT POOL PARKING LOT - VISITOR PARKING PASS REQUIRED - NO EXCEPTIONS

If you will be having overnight quests park on the street or your Camper/RV parked in front of your home (or at the Pool Parking Lot) at any time during the year in preparation for a trip or returning from a trip, you MUST place a VISITOR PARKING PASS on the dashboard so that the Covington Police know that it belongs to you and will be moving shortly. Please indicate on the Visitor Pass the date you will be moving the RV. This is to be followed every time.

Leaving unmarked cars parked in the Pool Parking Lot during the day or overnight is not allowed. If vehicles do not have a Green Vehicle Sticker on them then they MUST have a Visitor Parking Pass on them to keep from being towed.

GREEN VEHICLE STICKERS

With the Pool and Pool Parking Lot still in heavy use, it is important that every vehicle owned by a resident have a Green Vehicle Sticker placed on the rear window. These stickers are provided free of charge by the HOA and are a Safety Measure to assist residents and the Covington Police recognize those vehicles that belong in our neighborhood.

If you do not have a Green Vehicle Sticker on each of your vehicles, please REPLY to this email providing your Name, Street Address, and the Number of Vehicles you have and they will be delivered to your mailbox.

If you would like a sticker for your golf cart too, please make that request as this is a great idea since many residents drive their golf carts to the pool.
