My Independent Study Of Photoshop

By Hunter Jones

What is Photoshop?

Photoshop is a photo editing program made by Adobe. It has several tools for several purposes which allow you to create high quality images.

WHy did I choose to learn about photoshop?

I chose to learn about Photoshop because I'm already fairly familiar with how to use a similar free program called Paint.NET. I decided that since Photoshop will be available all the way through 8th grade and high school I should learn to use it better.

How did I learn to use photoshop?

To learn more about the functions of Photoshop, I watched a few youtube videos on how to swap a face, change skin tones, and so on. Along with this, I messed around on my own with photoshop to learn more about what you can do with it.

What was my plan for this project?

My plan for this independent study was to watch a Youtube video to learn the basics of Photoshop. Afterwards, I planned to create an image using what I learned. I then edited that same image the next day, but went off on my own and used tools I hadn't learned about. Next I watched a video on face swapping and matching skin tones. I then worked on making an image using both of these for the rest of the independent study.

My next steps

My next steps towards learning about Photoshop is to carry on my knowledge from Paint.NET to Photoshop, and make images of the same quality on each program. To do this, I will have to watch videos on the things I haven't yet covered in Photoshop.
