Flexibility in Fall

Fall is here and change is in the air. The leaves are changing, pumpkin spice is flowing and plaid masks are now the fashion. As we venture deeper into the unknown, we will need to flex our tools of flexibility, grace and patience with our families, students and selves. Please make sure you are taking time to fill your cup by practicing self-care. I have included some ideas below from the Time Special on the Science of Happiness. I will also be offering Mindfulness lessons for your class. It is important that we stay mentally resilient as these rocks cross our path.

NEW Spirit Days at Briarwood!

NEW At Home Great Kids

We are starting a whole-school recognition program where parents can nominate their students for being a “Great Kid” and following the Briarwood Way.


How it works:

· Parents nominate their students for following the Briarwood Way by filling out the form below before Wednesday at 4pm.

· All student names are entered into a drawing for a Lunch with Tia, Taryn or Heather.

· Students and families will be notified by email if they have won the lunch on Thursday.

· All students will receive a printable certificate by email.

· Families are encouraged to print the certificate, snap a photo of the child with the certificate and post it on our Great Kids Padlet.
