News and Announcements
Safety Courses
The second round of Public School Works safety courses are due Friday, September 21. You will NOT receive an email regarding the courses; you WILL NEED to self enroll in the first round of courses. I'm once again sharing information regarding courses, training schedule and how to self enroll.
Athletic Duty
Fall Sports games get underway this week. The athletic duty roster has been created and shared with you for all fall sports. We are assigning all certified staff duty based on reverse alphabetical order of last name. If you have a conflict and are unable to fulfill your duty please find someone to take your place and change the name in the duty roster (you have editing rights). If you don’t change the name we won’t know who to expect at the game AND the person who filled in for you may be incorrectly assigned a duty later (we will use the fall list as a starting point for winter sports duty).
First PTA Meeting
The first PTA Meeting of the school year will be held Monday, September 24 at 6:30. We will have a short business meeting followed by our annual Title I presentation. The middle school parent night will be held immediately following PTA. Please make plans to join us for the meeting.
Schedule Changes
If you have made any adjustments to your schedule please email a list of the changes so that corrections can be made to the master schedule.
NCEES Reminders (PDPs and Self Assessments)
Just a reminder that PDPs and Self Assessments are to be completed by Friday, September 21. We can't wait to see 1) well written goals that are 2) data driven and measurable that are 3) aligned (loosely or tightly) to our SIP priorities and that 4) all NCEES requirements are fulfilled (including those darn green checks). Let us know if you have any questions or need assistance.
United Way
The United Way Campaign is a collaborative effort of Chatham County Schools and the Chatham County United Way. Don’t forget that you can designate funds to be allocated to either the United Way, the Chatham Education Foundation, or split between the two organizations. Please return your contribution form to Sherri by September 21 if you would like to contribute.
Quick Reminders
