The National Junior Honor Society

The NJHS presented Tinashe Saka from RiseMalawi with the donation that the members raised last year as their group service project. Tinashe told the group that their donation keeps one child in RiseMalawi's after-school program for a year and a half. At RiseMalawi the child will get extra help in school work, have lunch and connect with mentors. She was so impressed by the generosity of the school and how hard the NJHS worked on their service project.

Red Ribbon Week

The Jr. Municipal Alliance had a very successful Red Ribbon Week. The theme this year was, "Life is Your Journey, Travel Drug-Free". Our first day of Red Ribbon Week was "We CAN Be Drug-Free" and the students donated hundreds of cans that will be delivered to local food banks. Each day the students dressed for a different destination and were offered food from that part of the world in the cafeteria. A big thank you to the Pomptonian team for supporting our Red Ribbon Week. Students were welcomed into school with music that went along with the theme of the day and enjoyed more music while eating lunch. The week ended with an assembly for all students. A big thank you to all of the students and staff who helped support Red Ribbon Week.
