Make Your Mark- Dot Day 2016
Dot Day (week!) has been fun! Each class has listened to the book, The Dot, by Peter Reynolds. We discussed how each of us can make a mark and that each of us will make a different mark in the world. We also talked about encouraging our classmates and being a positive influence. Most of the classes learned about Pointillism and Georges Seurat's artwork too. Stop by and see the dots the classes have made- they're inside and outside the library!
Requests for Purchases
Students are welcome to make suggestions for books they would like to see added in the library! There's a clipboard at the circulation desk that they can add a title to, or they can tell me and I'll add it. I love to hear what students are interested in!
Book Fair Thank You!
Thank you sooo much for your support during the Book Fair! The sales were great and we put over 1,700 books in the hands of students! I enjoyed getting to meet so many families.
A HUGE thank you to all the volunteers who helped out!
What's Happening?
For the rest of this month-
PreK and K are learning about book care and will check out for the first time during the last week of the month!
Grades 1-3 are learning about how the library is organized (alphabetical order and Dewey Decimal), the difference between fiction and nonfiction.
