Come meet your child’s teacher and hear about the exciting things
your student will learn at school this year!
Fans Needed!
Our AC was not working properly today. We are in contact with facilities. However, PLEASE consider allowing your child's class to borrow a fan tomorrow, if you have one to share. (We're hoping they won't be needed, but we want to be prepared.) Thank you!
PE Tennis Shoe Bank:
In an effort to ensure that all students are able to safely participate in their PE Special, Mr. Edwards is in the process of creating a "PE Shoe Bank". If you have gently used tennis shoes that you are willing to part with, please drop them off in the main office or send them to school with your child.

New Social Thinking Special!
Social Thinking will be a new special offered at Laurel Park this year. Mrs. V (Susannah Vitaglione) will be teaching students how to be good social thinkers. Being a social thinker means that we begin to combine our understanding of any given situation and social expectations with the thoughts, feelings and behaviors of ourselves and others.
Students today are expected to develop the skills of abstract thinking, collaboration and effective communication. Social Thinking helps children understand and develop those skills. Social skills are incredibly complex and yet they are essential to every aspect of our life. Our new special will be giving Laurel Park students tools to navigate those social skills. More information for parents can be found on my website: laurelparksocialthinking.weebly.com.
Register for Chess Club
The LPES Chess Club is open to LPES students in Grades 1-5. The club meets in the LPES Media Center most Thursdays from 3:45-4:30. This year, the club will start August 4th, and run through May 11th.
