Wamogo Regional High School

Message from the Principal
I am pleased to announce that our annual academic awards ceremonies will be on the following date and times:
Grades 7-8: Thursday, June 21 at 10:00 a.m.
Grades 9-11: Friday, June 15 at 7:45 a.m.
Grade 12: Thursday, June 14 at 7:00 p.m.
This is a time to celebrate student successes and recognize special achievements based on academic excellence, outstanding effort and other distinguished awards. Students that performed the highest within each course offered will be recognized as well as those selected by their teachers based on extraordinary effort.
If your student is getting an award, you will be notified next week. I am looking forward to this event and hope you can attend.
Please remember to come out to support our Wamogo Marching Band at parades in Warren and Goshen on Sunday and Naugatuck and Morris on Monday.
I would also like to remind our school community the importance of pausing to reflect on what Memorial Day represents. A few years ago, I was fortunate to have visited the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial. There has not been a more profound experience in my life than visiting this historic site and paying my respect to those that selflessly gave their lives. I urge you to have discussions with your student about taking a moment to honor the heroes that have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Wamogo Grad Night Party
This year’s event location has been finalized and fundraising has begun. Contributions in any amount will support a safe, drug and alcohol-free graduation celebration for our graduating seniors.
Financial contributions can be dropped off at the school office. Checks can be made out to Wamogo Parent Organization - please note 2018 Grad Night in your memo line.
We also need two adult chaperones to be on-site at Flight Trampoline Park - the location of Wamogo's Grad Night Party.
To volunteer as a chaperone, to donate time or financial contributions, or for more information, please contact us at WamogoGradNight@gmail.com.
PTO Pre-Prom Red Carpet Event
The Wamogo Prom will be held on Saturday, June 2nd. Each year students, families, and friends gather for pictures and for a big send-off for our prom participants. Wamogo PTO hosts a red carpet event for students to take pictures in a variety of settings, and as everyone gathers, appetizers and beverages are made available to create a party atmosphere. We are looking for donations of appetizers, waters, and supplies to be delivered at 3 pm on Saturday, June 2nd. We'll have volunteers ready to set out and pass the food to the crowd.
You can sign up to contribute to the Pre-Prom event using the sign-up genius link below:
For further questions or to volunteer, please contact Renee Farrell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The next Wamogo PTO meeting will be held Wednesday, May 23rd at 7 pm in the Media Center.
Have questions or suggestions for the Wamogo PTO? Please drop us a line at email@example.com.
