OUR LADY OF LOURDES SCHOOL T4 W3
TE KURA O TO MATOU WAHINE O RUATA
HELLO, KIA ORA, KIA ORĀNA, MĀLŌ E LELEI, TALOFA, NAMASTE, KUMUSTA...
Nai mai, haere mai, welcome to Week 3/wiki te toru.
Today is All Saints day - a day when we give thanks for our SAINTS who are such amazing role models for us all. Everyday we are called to be saints 'with a little s' as Jesus has no other voice than ours. By our words, actions and heart we can make a difference. Our school will be joining with our parish for the 10 am mass.
Tomorrow is All Souls day and our two senior rooms will be attending mass at 10am with our parish. This is a time when we reflect on all those that have passed on to the loving arms of God. We give thanks for their lives and all that they did.
Thank you to those who were able to bring pets yesterday - the weather certainly was interesting. Thank you for your patience and your understanding. The children had a wonderful time which will make for amazing story writing today. Of course, the weather is gorgeous today... but we know the rain was needed for our land!!!
We have had a great start to the term with so many wonderful learning opportunities happening for our children. Our teachers/kaiako are working on assessment in all key learning areas as we prepare for our end of year reporting and completing your child's report. It is full steam ahead.
BAPTISM/WELCOME: What a special time this was in our school calendar - how truly blessed we are to be part of this parish. Congratulations to Bailey who was Baptised and to Molly, Zion, Zaiaia and Zephaniah (Fatu) for being received into the church.
EEL TRIP
Thank you to our wonderful parents who took time out of their busy lives to help our middle Tu Manawa hub of Rooms 4 and 5. It was such an amazing learning time for all. Our focus as a school/kura is on our Local Curriculum and learning places of significance around our Manawatu.
