CMS Student Council Campaigns and Elections This Week
Candidates are required to submit a short video explaining why they believe they would be a good candidate to represent the grade level. Teacher recommendations will also be considered this year in the selection process. All videos need to be emailed to Mrs. Boyd by Wednesday, August 24th. The election itself will be held on Friday, August 26th.

2022-2023 CMS Robotics Team Tryouts Announced
The Corner Middle School Robotics Team coaches -- Jennifer Harris and Anita Wiley -- have announced the tryout dates for those interested in being part of the squad. Tryout dates are as follows:
Tryout Dates:
7th and 8th grades - Monday, August 22, 2022
5th and 6th grades - Tuesday, August 23, 2022
Tryouts will last until 4:15 PM – please be on time to pick up your student. Those that make the team will be notified by August 26th.
The team will be selected this year using teacher recommendations, student application, and an in-person tryout. Students will stay after school for tryouts, but only if they turned in their application by the deadline, Friday, August 19, 2022.
Good luck to all who are trying out for the teams! We look forward to another great year of CMS Robotics!

CMS Homecoming Week 2022 Events Announced
To help you prepare for Homecoming Week activities, you will find the schedule for the week in the graphic below. We had hoped to add a home game replacing the cancelled West Blocton game later in the season. Unfortunately, we were unable to do that so Homecoming will have to be early in the school year.
We look forward to this week and your students participating in all of the planned activities!
