Happy Thanksgiving!

The RMS administrative team wishes everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! We are thankful for the terrific students and dedicated faculty and staff that we work with each day. We also appreciate the unwavering support from the parents and community. Rombout wouldn't be the awesome place it is without our amazing families! Parent Teacher conferences begin today. All conferences are fully virtual. Our students will follow a half day schedule today and tomorrow. RMS students will be dismissed at 11:00AM on both days. There is no school for students Wednesday - Friday. School will reopen on November 29th. Enjoy the well deserved time off!

Mykee Fowlin Parent Assembly

Parents are encouraged to attend the Mykee Fowlin show on December 8th at 7pm in the BHS theater. In his one-man presentation, "You Don’t Know Me Until You Know Me," Dr. Mykee Fowlin takes the audience on an experiential journey, having them reexamine core precepts that were taught to us from as early on as 1st grade. He uses many of his gifts – humor, performance art, poetry, storytelling, psychology, theatrical monologues, and his personal journey – to create a moving experience for all who are open to this evolution. He encourages all age groups, from pre-teens to adults alike: “We are capable of transforming the world, for the good, but this work starts from within; it is the process of turning our hurt into self-reflection, healing, and then action. It is our simple, but intentional, behaviors where significant change takes place.

Holiday Door Decorating is Back!!

In the past RMS has celebrated the upcoming winter season by decorating classroom doors. We are very excited to say that we are bringing that back this school year! Each teacher will work with one of their class periods and creatively design their classroom door. We hope to start decorating at the end of November/beginning of December so that we can enjoy the decorations for a few weeks before our winter recess. If you have any supplies that you would like to donate to our door decorating contest, please send them our way. If you have more questions about the contest please feel free to contact Mrs. Edelman.
