Delran High School, an inclusive learning community, provides educational opportunities for intellectual development, while valuing the importance of cultural diversity and tradition.
A Message from Mr. Finkle
On behalf of the entire staff, you are cordially invited to attend our annual Back-to-School Night on Thursday, September 27th at 6:45pm. We will begin the evening in the Performing Arts Center with a brief welcome followed by walking your child's schedule and meeting your child's teachers in their classrooms. We request that you either print out your child's schedule before Thursday, or you have access to it through the parent portal. Thank you very much.
Family ID
We still have a number of parents who have not signed up for FamilyID and registered their child here at DHS. Please understand that access to co-curricular activities including sports, clubs, and dances will be taken away if this is not completed. If you have any questions, please reach out to Denise Stellwag in the main office. dstellwag@delranschools.org or 856-461-6100 x3000.
Student ID Cards
Please remind your children that they need to bring their Student ID Cards to school everyday. They need their identification cards to print in the library, at the late sign-in desk, in the nurse’s office and to purchase lunch! If your child loses their card, they must obtain another card for a $5.00 fee.
Mandatory Senior Trip Parent Meeting
The mandatory Senior Trip Parent meeting will take place on Thursday, September 27th at 6pm in the Performing Arts Center. All parents of seniors who are planning to go to Disney in March must attend. Class Advisors, Mrs. Nicole Spera and Mr. Stephen Blendermen will present all the important facts and fee of the trip.
RCBC's College Accelerated Program

The deadline to register is Sunday, September 30th. This year, RCBC has rolled out an online registration program!
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact me at dfinkle@delranschools.org or (856) 461-6100 x3005.

Curricular Corner
World Language Department
The World Language students are jumping on the Delran Reads initiative bandwagon and are focusing on novels and short stories as the main catalyst of learning. Using short stories does more than provide vocabulary for students. The novels, which were obtained through a grant from the DEF, allow students to use their language in a creative and rigorous way. Thanks to Ms. Valerie Sanchirico (Spanish) and Ms. Stephanie Morales (French), students can each have their own books to read both in the classroom and in their free time. These novels help drive curriculum in a way that textbooks couldn't before. Students are, now more than ever, immersing themselves into the language and culture of the world around them. Athletic News
The Fall season is underway and exciting games have already begun. The students and coaches are working very hard and it shows. Even though the weather has not cooperated, it has not stopped teams from competing at the highest level.
The girls' soccer team has started off red hot with a 5-1 record. The boys' soccer team has the toughest schedule in the state again and is currently ranked as the #8 team in the state.
The field hockey team has battled in every game and continues to show signs of improvement and identity.
The girls' tennis team competes in a tough division but still managed to earn an opening day victory. The team tournament is approaching quickly, and the Lady Bears will be ready.
Both boys' and girls' cross-country teams have started the season 4-0. Good luck to the teams in the Rancocas Valley meet this weekend at the sports complex in Eastampton.
The football team was involved in the game of the season so far with a 30-22 victory against in town rival Holy Cross Preparatory School. This was their first victory in six years against them and the team is now 2-0. The Bears are home again this Friday night against Pemberton.
FamilyID is open right now for any students who are interested in participating in a Winter sport at Delran High School. Please login and complete all sections of the registration. If you experience any issue, please contact the main office. If you need to turn in a new valid physical, please drop it off in the main office. A physical can take up to two weeks for approval from the school physician so do not wait to turn the forms in.
If your child has been diagnosed with Asthma or uses an inhaler for any reason, you must complete an Asthma Treatment Plan with your doctor during your scheduled physical. If your vision is less than 20/40 in either eye, you must get clearance from your eye doctor that you are cleared to participate in sports.

Seniors and Juniors can see upcoming college visitations and request to attend directly in Naviance.
All students should be building their personal activity resume.
Ask your student to share with you what they are doing in Naviance.
