WAN, MAN and LAN
WAN.
Short for Wide Area Network, WAN is a few computers and network resources connected by a network over a geographic area. Wide Area Networks are connected either through the internet, phone companies or other service providers.
MAN
Metropolitan Area Network, MAN is a network that connects users in a geographic area or region larger than what a LAN covers but smaller than the area covered by a WAN.
LAN
Local Area Network, LAN is a network that interconnects computers within a limited area such as a residence, school or office building.
What was the first computer?
The first fully functional computer was the ENIAC it was made by J. Presper Eckert and John Mauchly at the University of Pennsylvania they began making it in 1943 and it wasn't complete until 1946.
