Peek of the Week 12/7/15

Why be great tomorrow when you can be great today!

Principal Message

Team: two weeks before the break, but keep your expectations high with work quality, rules, dress code, and behaviors. As teacher we get very creative on ways to create lessons that mix in the spirit of the season and the required curriculum. We hope you will enjoy the festivities provided for the staff in the next two weeks. Keep up the great teaching and learning, and don't let up.

Morning Meeting message

Morning Meeting messages are a non negotiable practice on our campus. We understand the importance of setting the stage for the week. Manners and gratitude is a great topic to review at morning meeting, but so is procedures and expectations this time of year not only in the classroom, but in the building. Let's visit with students about respectful hallway behaviors and self control, and for the little ones making sure their goal is to stay off the naughty list.

Mentoring Tree

We are putting together our Mentoring Tree! You will see it in the lounge soon with stars that have student's name. Everyone will have the opportunity to sign up and take a star from the tree. Once you sign up, you will get further information on how to proceed. We appreciate everyone stepping up to help our students, it exemplifies your heart in reaching those that really need it. Please keep student name and information confidential.

Great video worth viewing. I love seeing it more than once:

Supper with Santa this Thursday-Grade Level Table Activities

Teachers: there will be a table set up with your grade level labeled on it. Gloria will place them outside the main hallways. We do not want students to wander the building so they will be conveniently located. Please be prepared for the table activity that your grade level will help with on Supper with Santa. I am aware of the activity for 5th grade, but please communicate if you need materials for yours. Thank you for your support.
