Conservation of the Grizzly Bear
Some dangers grizzlies have are hunters, cars, and the government. They are being hunted all the time and they also get hit by cars quite a lot. The government is also a danger because they are not doing the best to preserve grizzly bears.
CURRENT POPULATION
Currently there are 55 000 grizzly bears. Most of which live in B.C. Almost half of that population is killed off each year with only 2/3 being born.
HABITAT RESTORATION
There are many sanctuaries across Canada and the U.S.A. One of these is named the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary. There are other parts of Canada where the reserve about 10 000 acres for grizzly bears. There are also foundations like The Alberta Wilderness Association and the Jasper Environmental Association.
WHAT ACTIONS SHOULD WE TAKE
We should stop hunting them and bring our concerns to the government. We should also donate to and Grizzly Bear funds we can find and help the the Grizzlies.
