STRIKE A POSE
K-12
Big Idea
Directions
2. Have students stand across from one another. One of the students will need to have their back to the projector/screen (wherever you will be posting the image).
3. Post a silhouette of a yoga pose. The task is the student that can see the image, must get their partner into that pose only using words/concepts from the content. For example, teacher could frame this activity by saying 'Get your partner into this pose only using mathematical terminology' or 'Get your partner into this pose only using similes'.
4. Students switch so both get an opportunity to practice.
This activity is great to have students practice with the content in a different way. This allows for students to create meaning in their own way.
Below are examples of different poses.
