Student Objectives and Standards:
Evaluate the accuracy, relevance, appropriateness, and bias of electronic sources.
Explain journalism ethics: radio television code of ethics and the society of professional journalists code of ethics (honesty, independence, fairness, public accountability, harm minimization, avoiding libel, and proper attribution).
Understand, explain, and practice copyright principles, including current laws, fair use guidelines, creative commons, open source, and public domain
Utilize the five news values (timeliness, proximity, conflict/controversy, human interest, and relevance) when creating news stories.
Evaluate how changes in technology throughout history have impacted various areas of study in broadcasting
