News from the Principal's Office
A&M Consolidated High School
Reflections from Elder's Desk
To all the mothers, Happy Mother’s Day. I hope you are enjoying being pampered by your loved ones.
As we move forward with the new attendance zones for 2019-2020, the students impacted by the new zones were able to tour AMCHS last Friday. The tours went amazingly well, and the students are eager to bring their parents on Monday. For many of those students, last Friday was their first time visiting AMCHS, and they were quite impressed throughout their experience. I am certain that the negativity circulating in certain communities painted a negative image of AMCHS, which was unfounded. Nevertheless, the students enjoyed learning about various programs, interacting with our students, and hearing about the courses offerings available in Career & Technical Education.
As we prepare for an Open House for the parents of these transfer students on Monday, we will welcome these prospective parents and showoff the incredible opportunities at AMCHS. Moreover, the brown building on Welsh and Harvey Mitchell has committed teachers and staff, stellar students, supportive parents, and we are top notch! All of us have a hand in providing an enriching learning experience for every student who walks through our doors. More importantly, our enthusiasm, compassion, and our dedication to being excellence are second to none! So don’t ever underestimate the power you have to make a difference.
