A Note From the Principal
We have been hard at work preparing for the new school year, each day in hopes of sharing a bright 2021-2022 season with one another, the children, and their families. There is no doubt we have had our share of challenges but we are called to go forward in faith and to fulfill our mission to provide a school where children can learn about and create a relationship with God and go forth in this complicated world, first taking care of and love one another as Jesus has instructed us to do.
Many wonderful things have come about this summer. God's hand is lighting the way. With every barrier, there would be God, to lift us up and over it. Teacher shortage, no worries, God will fill your school with committed and faithful teachers. Construction and repairs needed? Do not fret, caught in time before students return. Computer systems not working correctly, got it covered, God has given our staff amazing resourcefulness and talent. Need resources to help families access Catholic education? Talented people and opportunities abound. Thank you, Lord. All of this is coming together to serve your mission.
Deuteronomy 31:6,8 Be strong and bold; have no fear or dread of them because it is the Lord your God who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you.
By now, you should have received several notifications by email, text alert, and via social media, that the start of school will be delayed by one week for several reasons.
The St. Anthony of Padua bell tower is in need of reconstruction, so streets around the school will be cordoned off and the rectory business will be temporarily relocated. We have navigated this situation one day at a time and solutions continue to reveal themselves! Thankfully, safe dismantling is possible and our students will be able to attend Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Parish in no time. Please do stay tuned about pick-up and drop-off patterns as soon as we get word from the city about street closure and bussing adjustments we will send that out. Part of Belmont Street is already closed.
On a different note, our Masses for students on Wednesdays will be held in our gym until further notice. We are grateful to have the space to continue to gather our students and staff in faith.
Please do continue to check your email for updates. We will be sending information out individually so nothing gets buried. If you do not see emails, check your promotions, junk, and spam folders, then contact Mrs. de Barros so she can add your email to our system.
In Peace and Gratitude,
Dawn Florino
All Students Must Have Documentation In Place
Unfortunately, if registration paperwork, tuition agreement and financial aid documentation and payment plans are not set up, your child will not be able to begin on the first day. We have made every opportunity to help families complete all of the necessary documentation. This is nonnegotiable. With one additional week to submit all documentation, I do hope those of you who have interest but are missing documentation have this complete. Thank you to all who took advantage of the support and got everything in. This will assure our school stays solvent and stable.

New School Choice Scholarships!
Many of you have received notice that your children have qualified and been approved for the new Yes! Scholarship per Governor Sununu. If you have emailed Mrs.Garand at business@clanh.org, to inform her that you've received the funds, please make note that she works for Cardinal Lacroix Academy and St. Joseph Regional Jr. High part-time and St. Francis part-time. We appreciate all of your patience, as she did not replace Mr. Lemarier full-time. I think we can all agree that she has been AMAZING in communicating with families about all of the financial aid and business operations. I am extremely grateful for her support for you and for us. She will be in touch with you within 24-48 hours of receiving your email. If you have not applied to this and the Education Freedom Scholarship, please do see if you qualify. We only consider financial aid from the school AFTER you have applied for the additional scholarships and they can absolutely be combined to cover tuition.
Staffing Announcements!
There is no doubt we are extremely blessed to be going into the new school year fully staffed! We have a fantastic team of invested, faithful, and well-trained educators. We are spending this week and next finalizing the hiring process and teachers are collaborating, reviewing student files, organizing and planning curriculum. We are currently updating our website to reflect all of the staffing changes. In the meantime, please note the email contacts of our new staff below.
The Nest
Our Early Childhood Program is GROWING!!! Please visit Our Nest on the CLA website!
Mrs. Morin will be our new Kindergarten teacher!!
She is absolutely lovely, with the warm and welcoming disposition that all kindergarten students need. She has already started planning her year and is so excited to have our new and GROWING kindergarten class. Mrs. Morin sincerely has a heart for early childhood education and we are delighted she will be teaching our youngest. Her email address is amorin@clanh.org.
At this time, our kindergarten is full, HOWEVER, we ARE ADDING A SECOND KINDERGARTEN. STAY TUNED! If you know of anyone interested in enrolling in Catholic School, please let them know we are working with families to secure Education Freedom Grants, and Children's Scholarship Fund with all families who qualify. Deadlines for these grants fall on September 1st! Mrs. Garand has been able to help many families access these incredible resources.
Mrs. Morin will be partnering with Miss Taryn Caito, our new prekindergarten teacher. Miss Caito is a picture of joy. She has a vibrant energy that the kids will adore. She's given so much of her own time this summer coming in to design a perfect space for little ones to learn and grow. She spent time with Mrs. Raymond, in fact, to transition smoothly into her new role. We are delighted and fortunate to have Miss Caito welcome our newest Catholic school students into "our nest". Miss Caito's email address is tcaito@clanh.org.
Mrs. Martha Mandeville is a master teacher. She will be teaching third graders! Mrs. Mandeville holds a Master's Degree from Rivier University. She has been a special education case manager, classroom teacher, and is trained in the universally respected Orton Gillingham reading intervention. We are SO BLESSED to have Mrs. Mandeville as part of our team. She has already been such a calm and confident presence that our students will respect and appreciate. Mrs. Mandeville's email address is mmandeville@clanh.org.
Miss Abigail Adams has joined us from New York State to teach second grade. She LOVES MATH! She has an intuitive sense of how to connect students to content. She has experience with flexible instruction, many digital resources, and her prior colleagues had brilliant and wildly complimentary things to say about her work with students. Her email address is aadams@clanh.org.
Ms. Jennifer Atkins will be our Title 1 teacher. She was just hired by our Manchester School District Title 1 Coordinator and will be coming into the school after August 31st to review all student files, partner with the teachers in determining next steps for students who previously received services, preparing permission slips for eligible students. We will be conducting early qualitative reading assessments and math screenings to assure that all incoming and prior students receive appropriate supplemental services.
Mrs. Nalette, our Speech and Language Therapist, will be taking maternity leave for the first two months of the school year. Mrs. Nalette works with young students in early language screenings, providing direct services for language development including articulation, language perception and production, and communication skills. Join me in praying for a safe delivery for Mrs. Nalette and we look forward to her presence in the building again!
Mr. Jeffrey Shelley will be our Enrichment Coordinator. He will be at school from 10am-5:30pm each day to assure cohesion between daytime enrichment lessons he'll provide in class to our after-school activities. He'll be able to collaborate with teachers, develop multifaceted programming for students conveniently located at the school so ALL KIDS will want to join our ASP! (Did you know the Education Freedom Grant will help pay for ASP?)
