Workshop Description & Overview
Learning Outcomes:
DAY 1 / Session 1 - (5 Hours) Will focus on the CliftonStrengths Assessment results for your team and how to use them effectively.
Gain insights into your team’s strengths and learn to value the differences of strengths among your team members.
Understand and appreciate differences that will enable leaders and teams to produce at higher levels of productivity.
Identify and understand one’s strengths, which can help increase employee engagement, impact overall morale and understand one’s needs and that of their team members.
Lead in a manner that boosts morale and team performance.
DAY 2 / Session 1 - Legislative & Legal Updates (Tom Ash and Nicole Donovski)
Session 2 - (4 Hours) Will focus on Building Healthy Teams
Review and apply the Five Functions of a Healthy Team.
Review and apply The Ideal Team Player attributes to your own and your team’s performance.
Commit to becoming an Ideal Team Player
Carry out Personal Action Plans to improve one aspect toward becoming a better Ideal Team Player.
The Building Healthy Teams workshop will enable teams to work together better and get to the point where they communicate more clearly about critical business issues. The organization will see increased productivity and improved communication.

- Materials (paper, pens, sticky-notes)
- Food: (The following food is included in the cost of registration)
- Continental Breakfast - both days; Refreshments during breaks (light snacks, lemonade and or iced tea, and coffee) - twice a day, both days; and Buffet Lunch - Day 1

$355.00 per participant (does not include hotel costs for anyone choosing to stay overnight - these costs are up to the district or individual).

Rooms:
The hotel will be setting aside a block of rooms for our event for $114 a night (does not include any of their typical charges)
Room reservations are up to the individual or district; however, it is important that each guest identify themselves as a part of the Madison-Champaign Educational Service Center, and provide them with the guest name, requested type of room, requested bed type (i.e., king, double, queen, twin), check-in and check-out dates, etc. Reservations must be made at least 21 days prior to our start date (7/8/2019).
You may call: (614) 885-3334 or 1-800-870-0349 OR as the event is confirmed, we will receive a reservation link; however, remember, room reservations need to be made before 7/8/2019.
I will also need to know which districts want a conference space reserved and for which dates.
Texts / Resources:
The content of this retreat is based on two books by author Patrick Lencioni: The Five Dysfunctions of a Team and The Ideal Team Player. While it is NOT required that you read either of the texts before the retreat, it IS recommended. As such, we have arranged for you to be able to purchase either or both of the texts through the ESC, if you wish.
The Five Dysfunctions of a Team: $18.00
The Ideal Team Player: $15.00
